I've seen paintings of bamboo in the winter, and I can tell it is such by the snow on the leaves, but how do leaves in the summer differ from the fall? or spring?

Bamboo changes throughout it's year and in the spring the leaves are smaller and point upwards. In the summer they become larger and lay downwards, toward the end of the summer and into autumn the leaves become more ragged and the painted strokes end in the "flying white style" :0)

        Happy painting.
